Antimicrobial persistence for 10 days after antiseptic skin preparation in healthy volunteers

消毒薬は、皮膚の微生物を減少させ、手術部位感染症（SSI）の予防に寄与する。本報告では、2％ CHGと70％イソプロピルアルコール（IPA）からなる市販の皮膚消毒薬の持続的な抗菌効果を評価するために 66 例の健常ボランティアを対象に実施された研究について述べる。この溶液を腹部と鼠径部に塗り、乾燥させた後に即時効果を評価し、その後ドレッシングで覆った。塗布後 10 日間に亘って異なる時点において抗菌作用の持続性を調査し、とる前と比較した皮膚細菌数（cfu/cm²）の減少率を評価した。腹部での細菌数の平均 log₁₀ 減少率は、塗布後 10 分で 2.75、7 日目で 2.03、10 日目で 1.53 であった。鼠径部の皮膚細菌における平均log₁₀減少率は、塗布後 10 分で3.59、7 日目で 2.80、10 日目で 2.42 であった。これらの結果から、健常なボランティアを対象した場合、本皮膚用製剤の抗菌効果は、塗布後 10 日間持続することが示された。本消毒薬を術前に使用した場合の抗菌効果の持続性および SSI に対する効果を明らかにするためには、更なる研究が必要である。
