222 nm の紫外線 C と 254 nm の紫外線 C による消毒の有効性および安全性の比較:システマティックレビューおよびメタアナリシス★

一部の研究では、222 nm の紫外線 C(UVC)による消毒の方が、254 nm UVC による消毒より効果が高いことが示されているが、その逆を報告している研究もある。さらに、別の研究では、222 nm UVC への曝露は皮膚と目に安全であることが報告されている。本研究の目的は、222 nm UVC と 254 nm UVC による消毒の有効性および安全性を比較評価したすべての研究を特定し、定量的に統合することであった。システマティックレビューとメタアナリシスを実施した。Web of Science、SCOPUS、Medline、Ovid Embase および Cochrane Library において、2024 年 11 月まで、222 nm UVC と 254 nm UVC による消毒の有効性および安全性を比較評価した研究を検索した。適格な文献 25 報が特定され、このうち 15 報は有効性のみ、7 報は安全性のみのデータを提供し、残りの 3 報は有効性と安全性の両方のデータを提供した。222 nm UVC と 254 nm UVC の有効性を比較した研究における統合オッズ比は 1.382(95%CI 1.153 ~ 1.656、N = 18報[研究87件])であり、222 nm UVC の方が消毒効果が高いことが示された。222 nm UVC 照射の安全性を評価した研究における統合リスク差は-0.211(95%CI -0.245 ~ -0.177、N = 10報[研究29件])であり、222 nm UVC 照射によりシクロブタン型ピリミジンダイマーを生成する正常細胞の割合は、254 nm UVC 照射時よりも21.1%少ないことが示されている。254 nm UVC と比較して、222 nm UVC は様々な微生物の消毒に同程度または潜在的に優れた有効性を示すだけでなく、哺乳類細胞に引き起こす DNA 損傷が少ない。

222 nm UVC と 254 nm UVC の有効性を比較した研究論文で、システマティックレビューとメタアナリシスにより 222 nm UVC の方が消毒効果が高いことが示された。254 nm UVC と比較して、222 nm UVC は様々な微生物の消毒に同程度または潜在的に優れた有効性を示すだけでなく、哺乳類細胞に引き起こす DNA 損傷が少ないと結論づけている。
