微生物やウイルスを捕捉し不活性化するためのフィルターおよび殺菌技術の有効性に関するスコーピングレビュー

COVID-19(SARS-CoV-2)のパンデミックにより、空気感染する病原体(ウイルス、細菌、真菌など)の濃度を低下させることでそれらの汚染を予防する取り組みが強化された。ろ過、紫外線照射またはイオン化技術は、屋内環境の空気浄化と微生物の不活性化に役立つ可能性がある。本研究の目的は、関連のある文献を特定し、実地で微生物や空気感染するウイルス(SARS-CoV-2、ライノウイルス、インフルエンザウイルスなど)の捕捉と不活性化に用いられる、空気浄化法としてのフィルターおよび殺菌技術(非物理的手法など)の有効性に関して示された科学的エビデンスをレビューすることであった。スコーピングレビューを実施し、文献を収集した。除外基準を採用した結果、最終的に 75 報の研究が本調査の対象となった。実験室研究および実地での、紫外線殺菌照射およびイオン化法の不活性化効率に関する考察を示す。紫外線殺菌照射およびイオン化を用いた SARS-CoV-2 ウイルスの不活性化に関する研究に、特に注目する。参照した文献に基づき、実地での空気浄化技術の有効性に関して明確な結論を引き出すことはできない。裏付けのある、十分に管理された実験室研究では、浄化装置が使用される実際の状況が適切に再現されない。
監訳者コメント:
紫外線殺菌照射およびイオン化を用いた SARS-CoV-2 ウイルスの不活性化に関する研究は確かに興味深い。不活性化に関する研究で最も興味があるのは、どれくらいウイルスの不活性化に時間を要すのであるかということである。
