種々の擦式水性アルコール製剤の剤形に対する使用者の好みと許容性の推進要因の特定

背景
今の時代、感染症の伝播を減らすための適切な手指衛生の重要性は議論するのが難しくなっている。しかし遵守率は依然として低く、多くの因子に影響を受けるが、その 1 つは手指衛生製品に対する使用者の許容性である。
目的
本研究は、種々の手指衛生製剤の剤形に対する好みの推進要因について調査することを目的とした。
方法
擦式アルコール製剤の忍容性と許容性を評価するための WHO のプロトコルに基づいて、54 名の参加者が同じブランドの 3 つの異なる剤形（液体、泡、ゲル）を無作為かつ盲検的に評価した。
結果
回答者の大多数（76％）は、製品の剤形が回答者の手指衛生プロトコルの遵守レベルに影響を及ぼすと述べた。好まれた剤形は液体であり、参加者の 50％が第一選択として順位づけをした。全般的な製品満足度、製品の触感、乾燥速度および塗布のしやすさは、参加者がある剤形を第一選択として順位づけする場合をしない場合と比較して、統計学的に有意な推進要因であった。
結論
アルコール製剤を設計し手指衛生プロトコルを実行する際に、剤形の好みの推進要因を理解することにより、製剤に対するユーザーの許容性を高め、それによって手指衛生の遵守を強化できる可能性がある。
監訳者コメント：
液体、フォーム、ゲル、3種類の剤型の擦式アルコール製剤の主観的な使用感を調査した論文である。参加者の半数が液体製剤がいい、その主な理由は使いやすさ、使用感、乾燥速度、と回答していたことは興味深い。
