Baseline evaluation of hand hygiene compliance in three major hospitals, Isfahan, Iran

手指衛生は院内感染予防の柱である。本研究は、イランのエスファハーンにある大規模病院 3 施設の医療従事者の手指衛生遵守を、直接観察によって評価するためのベースライン調査である。種々の手指衛生用製品の使用についても評価した。潜在的な手指衛生機会 3,078 回のうち 2,653 回（86.2％）で、手指衛生用製品の利用が可能であった。全体的な遵守率は 6.4％（教育病院 7.4％、公立病院 6.2％、私立病院 1.4％）であった。看護師（8.4％）の遵守率が最も高かった。エスファハーンの病院の手指衛生遵守率は低かったことから、病院インフラと職員の知識を併せて改善する介入が直ちに必要である。
