Reduced fungal contamination of the indoor environment with the Plasmair邃｢ system (Airinspace)

Aspergillus属やその他の真菌は、免疫低下患者の致死的な日和見感染症の原因となる。真菌の胞子を拡散させる室内汚染および建設作業は、院内アスペルギルス症の主要な原因である。フランス北東部の第三次医療施設であるDijon病院では、高リスク臨床部門（high-risk clinical unit）に隣接して建設作業が進行中である。建設作業の影響を調べるために、作業開始1年前にサーベイランスプログラムを実施し、ベースライン時の汚染レベルを確認した。新型空気処理システムの可動式Plasmair邃｢ユニット（Airinspace社）使用の有無別に、成人血液部門および小児血液部門の空気中および環境表面の真菌汚染をプロスペクティブに調査した。Plasmair邃｢処理した室内の空気中および表面サンプルは、両部門で全真菌汚染の有意な減少が認められた。Plasmair邃｢処理により空気中のA. fumigatusも有意に減少した。今回のデータは、Plasmair邃｢ユニットが病院の室内真菌汚染を減少させる効果的な方法である可能性を示唆している。

監訳者コメント：
宣伝。こういったプラズマやイオン発生装置の問題は、これにより真菌感染症の発生がどの程度抑えられたかを比較検討して感染予防効果が実証されない限り、高付加価値商品として終ってしまう可能性があることである。ただし、脱臭効果は確かにあるようです。
