Alcohol-based hand rub: influence of healthcare workers’ knowledge and perception on declared use

擦式アルコール製剤による擦式手洗いは、手洗いの代替法として妥当であることが実証されている。本研究の目的は、擦式アルコール製剤の知識と自己申告された使用状況について、異なる職種の医療従事者間で比較し、擦式アルコール製剤の使用に関連する因子を評価することであった。標準化した質問票をある第三次大学病院の全医療従事者に送付した。各医療従事者から、以下のデータを収集した。職種（医師、看護師、看護助手、その他）、擦式アルコール製剤についての情報源、擦式アルコール製剤の知識と理解、および日常診療における非薬用石鹸および抗菌性石鹸（antiseptic soap）の代替としての擦式アルコール製剤の自己申告された使用状況。5,238の質問票のうち有効回答は1,811であった。医師は、他の医療従事者より擦式アルコール製剤についての適切な知識をもっていた。擦式アルコール製剤の有効性および皮膚忍容性に関する医療従事者の知識は、非薬用石鹸および抗菌性石鹸の代替としての擦式アルコール製剤の使用と独立して関連していた。自己申告された擦式アルコール製剤の使用状況は、医療従事者の職種によって異なっていた。
