序論

機械的作用も伴う実際的な条件下で表面消毒薬の殺ウイルス作用の有効性を評価することは、依然として、大きな難問である。現在の標準は、主に、機械的作用なしの浮遊試験および担体試験に依存している一方で、表面に基づく機械的な方法は、殺ウイルス作用の試験においてまだ十分に妥当性が確認されていない。この方法論的検証試験では、ウイルスの硬水を使った 4 フィールドテストについての検査室間共同実験の結果を報告する。本研究の目的は、ヨーロッパの標準に適合した実際的な試験方法の妥当性を確認することと、CEN Technical Committee 216 の活動の Working Group 1 の中で新しい Work Item を開発することを助けることであった。

方法

13 のヨーロッパおよび国際的な検査室が、3 つのヒト病原性モデルウイルス―アデノウイルス 5 型、改変ワクシニアウイルスアンカラ(Modified Vaccinia Virus Ankara)、およびマウスノロウイルス―を、硬水を使った 4 フィールドテストにおいて、非多孔性表面上で試験した。ウイルスの回収を、多数の接触時間において評価し、繰り返し性と再現性は、ISO 13528 に従って計算した。

結果

すべてのウイルスが、テストフィールド 1 上で確実に回収された。この方法は、どの検査室でも概ね頑健であったが、物理的なパラメーターのばらつきが検査室間の一貫性に影響を与えた。これは、機械的に引き起こされる適用係数の重要性をはっきりと示している。

結論

殺ウイルス性についての 4 フィールドテストは、フェーズ 2/ステップ 2 の方法として有望な適用性を示しており、今後のヨーロッパの標準への組み込みの貴重な候補である。この方法は、すぐに使えるワイプを評価するのに特に重要である。というのも、殺ウイルス作用の有効性は、ワイプの素材・放出される液体・機械的作用の複合効果に依存するからで、それは、機械的作用のない状況で得られる結果とは大いに異なる可能性がある。したがって、代表的な用途での検証方法が、病院、長期ケア施設、および公共の場における消毒薬の有効性の評価には必須である。

監訳者コメント:
ウイルスに対する環境表面消毒の実使用条件を再現するため、機械的な拭き取りを組み込んだ 4-field test の標準化可能性を検討した。消毒薬自体の効果だけでなく、ワイプによる物理的除去や微生物の移動を評価した。
