背景
SARS-CoV-2 についてのエアサンプリングを行った研究では、陰性のデータか生存不能なウイルスが得られることが多い。
目的
この研究では、エアサンプリング中の時間のパラメーターの乾燥への影響を評価した。
方法
この研究では、SARS-CoV-2 をエアロゾル化し、Sartorius MD8 AirPort ゼラチンフィルターに吹き付け、次に、そのフィルターを Sartorius MD8 AirPort に取り付け、50 L/分で、最長 40 分間、作動させた。そして、これらのフィルターを、ウイルスのプラークアッセイおよび定量的 RT－PCR 法で分析した。
結果
サンプリングされた空気の量が増加しても、回収された感染性ウイルスやゲノムのコピー数に有意な差はなかった。
結論
Sartorius MD8 AirPort を使った 40 分以下のサンプリングは、SARS-CoV-2の生存能力を減少させない。

SARS-CoV-2 の空気サンプルにおいて、生存ウイルスの回収が不十分なことが多く、サンプリング回収時の乾燥が影響しているか分析した研究。結果は 40 分以下のサンプリングは、SARS-CoV-2 の生存能力を減少させなかったとのことである。参考文献として日本からの文献も複数あり、興味があればあわせて読んでいただきたい。
