How reliable are test results from 17 laboratories on the basis of EN 1500 for a hand rub based on 80% (w/w) ?

緒言

Association of Applied Hygiene により組織された、エタノール擦式製剤の殺菌効果に関する共同研究は、欧州規格 EN 1500 に基づいた試験結果のばらつきおよび方法論的な判定基準の達成を報告することを目的として、17 の研究室で実施された。

方法

80％（w/w）エタノール擦式製剤を試験製品として、対照アルコール（60％イソプロパノール、v/v）と比較する、クロスオーバーデザインによる試験を実施した。基準に従い手指を予洗および汚染した後、対照アルコール（2 × 3 mL/2 × 30 秒）または試験製品（3 mL/30 秒）のいずれかで処置した。汚染除去後の数値を、擦り込み時間の直後に算出した。検証済みの中和剤を用いた。全被験者の擦り込み前および擦り込み後の対数値、対数減少値の平均を、研究室ごとに算出した。Hodges-Lehmann の 97.5％信頼限界が、対照製品と比較して 0.6 未満の場合、非劣性と推定した。研究室における精度を明らかにするために、z スコアを算出した。

結果

判定基準を満たしていないため 2 カ所の研究室が分析から除外された。試験製品の殺菌効果は対照製品に対して、4 カ所の研究室で非劣性であり、11 カ所の研究室で非劣性ではなかった。Hodges-Lehmann 97.5％信頼限界の z スコアは、すべての研究室で良好な精度を示した。

結論

試験結果のばらつきに関して、欧州規格 EN 1500 試験法は頑健性があるとみなされる。有効性が境界域にある製品では複数回の試験に基づいて評価すべきである。
