Trend analysis of carbapenem-resistant Gram-negative bacteria and antimicrobial consumption in the post- COVID-19 era: an extra challenge for healthcare institutions

カルバペネム耐性グラム陰性細菌の発生密度の傾向を、2019 年 1 月から 2020 年 12 月にわたり、低／中所得国の救命救急施設 99 施設におけるデバイス関連感染症および抗菌薬使用について分析した。1,000 患者日当たりカルバペネム耐性アシネトバクター・バウマニー（Acinetobacter baumannii）が 2020 年に増加しており、この結果には Spearman 検定により、COVID-19 の発生密度との強い正の相関が認められた。ポリミキシン使用量も 2020 年に増加していたが、カルバペネム耐性 A. baumannii または COVID-19 の発生密度との有意な相関は認められず、これはおそらくカルバペネム耐性 A. baumannii 感染症を懸念した結果実施された経験的あるいは非標的治療のためと思われる。これらの結果は、感染制御プログラムおよび抗菌薬適正使用支援に対する警告となる。
