イスラエル南部における成人の入院時の SARS-CoV-2 の普遍的スクリーニング★

地域社会において新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）の有病率が上昇したため、Soroka University Medical Centre の救急部に入院するすべての成人患者に対して重症急性呼吸器症候群コロナウイルス‐2（SARS-CoV-2）の普遍的スクリーニングを開始した。スクリーニングを受けた患者 8,518 例のうち 288 例（3.38％）が検査陽性であった。133 例（46％）の陽性例は無症状であり、必要な予防策が取られずに入院した可能性が高い。COVID-19 に起因する可能性がある症状を有する患者は有意に年齢が高く、内科救急部に入院していた。ベドウィンアラブ民族の患者が検査陽性者の半数を占めており、これは一般集団における有病率の 2 倍であった。これらの結果は、成人の入院時の SARS-CoV-2 の普遍的スクリーニングは COVID-19 の有病率が高い地域において極めて重要であることを示している。
