セラチア・マルセセンス（Serratia marcescens）による術後早期の感染症が、当教育病院の臨床家と微生物専門家の両方により報告されている。本稿では、腹腔鏡下肝切除術において術中超音波検査で用いられる T 型プローブの S. marcescens による汚染が原因で発生した今回のアウトブレイクについて、臨床、疫学、環境およびゲノムに関する因子について相互に関係付けを行った調査について報告する。

フランスにおける超音波プローブに関連した Serratia marcescens による手術部位感染症の8 例のアウトブレイクの報告。シースなしで超音波プローブを使用することは十分な視野を得るために外科的に一般的に行われているが、本報告では滅菌シースの必要性を示している。
