背景

パンデミックの状況下、同一患者にさまざまな処置を実施したり、個人防護具を外したりする場合、手袋を消毒することがある。手袋を消毒する場合は、手袋と使用する消毒製品の適合性を確認する必要がある。

目的

さまざまな消毒液に対するニトリル製手袋の耐性を試験すること。

方法

ニトリル・ブタジエンゴム化合物から成る 100％パウダーフリーのニトリル製手袋の耐性を分析するために、さまざまな消毒液に曝露させた。医療分野でもっともよく使用される 7 種類の消毒液を試験用に選択した。各消毒液の効果を、対照群（未処置の手袋）と比較して分析した。引張試験において、各試験材料の厚さをマイクロメーターにより計測した。

結果

漂白溶液では手袋の破断荷重が低下したが、エタノール含有の消毒液ほどではなかった。

結論

アルコール含有の消毒液により、ニトリル製手袋の破断荷重が低下する。

監訳者コメント：

エタノール含有の消毒液でニトリルゴムの手袋を処理すると、破れやすくなることが明確にわかる論文である。ニトリルゴムの手袋は消毒しながら使用するには向かないことがこの点でもよく分かる。
