Providing essential clinical care for non-COVID-19 patients in a Seoul metropolitan acute care hospital amidst ongoing treatment of COVID-19 patients

我々はパンデミック中に並行追跡医療システム下で 20 週にわたって収集されたデータを比較することにより、感染制御の取組みを評価した。新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）症例の入院以来、救急部を受診する非 COVID-19患者は 37.6％（P ＜ 0.01）の減少が認められた。しかし、救急処置のため受診する急性心筋梗塞、脳卒中、重度外傷および急性虫垂炎の患者は減少しなかった。急性心筋梗塞の来院から再灌流までの時間（door-to-balloon time、34.3［± 11.3］分 vs 22.7［± 8.3］分）は有意に改善した（P ＜ 0.01）のに対し、脳卒中管理における来院から治療開始までの時間（door-to-needle time、55.7［± 23.9］分vs 54.0［± 18.0］分）は一定のままであった（P ＝ 0.80）。同時に、化学療法、放射線療法および血液透析を要する患者を含む、他の臨床サービスが関わる一刻を争う治療に関して変化はなかった。

COVID-19 の流行で救急を訪れる患者が減少することで皮肉にも急性心筋梗塞の来院から再灌流までの時間が短縮されたことは興味深い。
