Dynamics of SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR positivity and seroprevalence among high-risk healthcare workers and hospital staff

新型コロナウイルス感染症への曝露量が高い病棟で勤務しているスタッフを対象に、重症急性呼吸器症候群コロナウイルス-2（SARS-CoV-2）の保菌および血清陽性に関する 6 か月間の研究への参加を呼びかけた。1 日目および 15 日目の来院の結果から、新型コロナウイルス感染症の症例 41 例が、RT- PCR および／または血清検査により参加者 326 名において確認された（全感染率 12.6％）。サンプル採取時における合併症または症状の存在が、感染症のリスク因子であったが、医師／看護師としての勤務はリスク因子ではなかった。高リスク病棟において症状の有無にかかわらず普遍的スクリーニングを行うことにより、無症状で感染力を有する感染スタッフを同定することができ、7 日間の自己隔離をさせることが可能になる。

監訳者コメント：
スタッフへの PCR によるスクリーニングで、新型コロナウイルス感染症の無症状の感染者を同定し、隔離することの有用性はいくつかの研究でも報告されている。
本研究では PCR のみでは見逃しが多く、血清学的検査を合わせて実施すべきとしている。
