Improving healthcare worker adherence to the use of transmission-based precautions through application of human factors design: a prospective multi-centre study

感染経路別予防策の重要な要素は個人防護具（PPE）の使用であるが、医療従事者の遵守は依然として最適とはいえない。感染経路別予防策の遵守改善のため、（1）標識の改善、（2）標識の設置の標準化、（3）一体化顔面シールド付きマスクの導入、（4）PPE の入手しやすさの改善、を含むヒューマンファクターに基づく介入を実施した。医療従事者の正しい PPE の着用は、有意な改善がみられた（79.7％ vs 56.4％、P＜ 0.001）。この取り組みは教育単独よりも効果的かもしれないが、持続可能性および医療関連感染症の伝播に対するその後の影響を明らかにするために、さらなる研究が必要である。
