Antibiotic consumption and Enterobacteriaceae skin colonization in hospitalized adults

腸内細菌科細菌において抗菌薬耐性の増加がみられており、皮膚保菌が院内におけるその拡散に寄与する可能性がある。本研究では、入院成人 100 例を対象に腸内細菌科細菌の皮膚保菌について検査を行い、抗菌薬の消費を含む、可能性のあるリスク因子について評価した。多変量解析により、入院中の抗菌薬消費（オッズ比［OR］3.16、95％信頼区間［CI］1.19 ～ 8.4）および男性であること（OR 2.92、95％CI 1.06 ～ 8.4）が、腸内細菌科細菌の皮膚保菌のリスク因子であることが示された。これらのリスク因子が確認されたのであれば、関与する生物学的機序を理解する取り組みは、腸内細菌科細菌の皮膚保菌を予防するための介入の開発につながる可能性がある。
