CE マークが付与された 5 種類のノロウイルス迅速検出用免疫クロマトグラフィーキットを、急性ノロウイルス感染検出用のリアルタイム PCR 法を基準法として比較評価した。本法のリアルタイム PCR 法と比較した感度は 23％から 59％の範囲、特異度は 75％から 100％の範囲であった。これらのデータから、免疫クロマトグラフィー法で陽性の場合はノロウイルス感染を示していることが示唆される。しかし、本法を日常的な診断に適したものとするためには、また臨床検査室での迅速診断検査の代替法とするためには、感度を大幅に向上させる必要がある。

CE マークは、EU が定めている基準を満たす製品につけられるマークである。この CE マークがついたノロウイルス診断キットを rRT-PCR の結果と比較した研究である。実際の利用現場では、食事や周囲の発症などの疫学情報に基づき、治療や感染対策が行われるが、それにしても感受性の低さが気になった。
