Meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus: spread of specific lineages among patients in different wards at a Brazilian teaching hospital

本研究の目的は、ブラジルの教育病院に蔓延しているメチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus；MRSA）系統株の特徴を明らかにすることである。鼻腔内スワブ由来の MRSA 分離株の抗菌薬感受性、ブドウ球菌カセット染色体 mec（SCCmec）、Pantone-Valentine 型ロイコシジン関連、パルスフィールド・ゲル電気泳動プロファイル、および複数部位塩基配列タイピング（MLST）の評価を行った。MRSA 分離株 83 株を解析した。SCCmec III 型（43.4％）および IV 型（49.4％）が優勢であった。内科では ST1-IV（USA400）型が多くみられたが（P ＝ 0.002）、内科・外科集中治療室では「clone M」（SCCmec III 型）がより多く（P ＝ 0.004）、皮膚科ではすべての分離株が ST5-IV（USA800）型であった（P ＜ 0.001）。これらのデータは、病院内の MRSA の疫学に関する理解の向上、および効果的な制御対策の確立に寄与した。
