The antibacterial activity and stability of acetic acid

酢酸は緑膿菌（Pseudomonas aeruginosa）などの微生物に対する良好な抗菌活性を有することが示されている。本研究では種々の病原性微生物に対する活性を調べるとともに、蒸発や、ドレッシング中の有機物による不活化に起因する抗菌活性の低下について評価した。酢酸は 0.166％という低濃度の希釈液でも活性を有し、また、蒸発や綿スワブによる不活化によって活性の低下はみられなかった。熱傷は医療資源の乏しい国々では頻発する問題であるが、酢酸は、そのような地域で治療を受ける患者に対して使用するには理想的な候補である。
