Very low prevalence of meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus carrying the mecC gene in western Switzerland

スイス西部で初の mecC 遺伝子保有メチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus；MRSA）感染症例を報告する。今回の初の同定後に PCR 法プロトコールを作成し、当地域の住民集団からの分離株におけるこの新規 mecC 遺伝子保有率を調査した。MRSA スクリーニング対象患者 1,062 例からの検体、患者 475 例の臨床サンプル由来メチシリン感性黄色ブドウ球菌（meticillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus；MSSA）分離株、およびメチシリン耐性の遺伝子型と表現型が不一致であった MRSA 分離株（2005 年から 2011 年） 80 株を、増菌培地を用いて調べた。いずれからも mecC 遺伝子は検出されなかったことから、当地域の患者集団では mecC はまれであることが示唆された。
