Comparison of virucidal activity of alcohol-based hand sanitizers versus antimicrobial hand soaps in vitro and in vivo

ポリオウイルス、アデノウイルス、ワクチニアウイルス、ウシウイルス性下痢ウイルス（BVDV）、およびヒトノロウイルスの代替ウイルスとしてのネコカリシウイルス（FCV）とマウスノロウイルス（MNV）に対する 3 種類のエタノール製消毒薬の不活化効果を、懸濁試験により 3 種類の抗菌性液体石けんと比較した。さらにフィンガーパッド法により、MNV に対する消毒薬と石けんの効果を比較した。懸濁試験の結果、消毒薬はいずれも試験ウイルスを十分に不活化したのに対して、石けん 2 種類はワクチニアウイルスおよび BVDV に対してのみ効果を示した。フィンガーパッド法では、ポビドンヨード含有石けんは消毒薬よりも優れていたが、他の 2 種類の石けんには効果が認められなかった。

監訳者コメント：
手指衛生は接触予防策の肝である。特にノロウイルス感染症に対する感染対策においては、感染を拡大しない、そして自分自身が感染しないためにも、確実な手指衛生が強く求められる。日本においては、近年、添加物によりノロウイルスに対する効果が期待できるアルコール製剤も発売されている。ただし、手指に有機物による明らかな汚れがあるときには、流水と石けんで洗い流すことも必要である。
