Morbidity and mortality associated with Clostridium difficile ribotype 078: a case-case study

クロストリジウム・ディフィシル（Clostridium difficile）リボタイプ 078 による感染率および死亡率を、既知の他のアウトブレイク株と比較評価した。陽性検体が認められる 8 週以内前に医療施設への接触があった場合は、リボタイプ 027 と比較したリボタイプ 078 感染リスクが有意に高かった。また、リボタイプ 078 感染患者は市中型感染が多く、検体採取後の入院期間はリボタイプ 027 と同等であり、30 日死亡率は低かったが、これらの相違はいずれも統計学的に有意ではなかった。本研究では、複数の仮説を立て、方法論的基盤を提示することによって、このような特有のプロファイルの検討を行った。
