Nosocomial outbreak of Pantoea agglomerans bacteraemia associated with contaminated anticoagulant citrate dextrose solution: new name, old bug?

院内で調製された抗凝固剤クエン酸デキストロース 46％（ACD）溶液に関連するパントエア・アグロメランス（Pantoea agglomerans）菌血症のアウトブレイク調査について報告する。ある健常男性が、顆粒球提供のための血漿交換中に敗血症性ショックを発現した。プライミングに使用した溶液と血液サンプルを培養検査に供した。gyrB シークエンシングにより分離株を種レベルで同定した。パルスフィールド・ゲル電気泳動法（PFGE）によりタイピングを行った。3 週間で合計 8 症例が特定された。P. agglomerans は ACD 溶液のバッグ 6 個からも培養された。患者からの分離株と ACD 溶液のバッグからの分離株は PFGE 型が同一であった。いずれの分離株もアンピシリン、セファゾリン、ゲンタマイシン、シプロフロキサシン、セフェピム、およびイミピネム感性であった。
