Antimicrobial efficacy of alcohol-based hand gels

近年、医療従事者の手指消毒遵守の改善を目的として、複数のアルコールハンドジェルが市販されている。これらの製品の抗菌効果について各国から報告されているが、ブラジルでの研究はほとんどない。この研究では、活性成分として70％ w/w^※（またはv/v^※※）エタノールを含有するブラジル製の12種類のハンドジェルの抗菌効果を欧州標準1500（EN1500）に基づいて評価した。対象としたアルコールジェルはHand Gel、Voga Gel、Solumax Solugel、Doctor Clean、Rio Gel、Clear Gel、Sevengel、Hand CHC、Gel Bac、WBL-50 Gel、Sanigel、およびSoft Care Gelである。さらに、70％ w/wエタノール、および欧州で一般的に使用されEN1500に基づいて有効とされている3種類の擦式アルコール製剤（Sterillium、Sterillium Gel、およびSpitaderm）についても試験を行った。2種類を除くその他の製品は、製品を60秒間使用するEN1500の試験プロトコールの基準に合致した。この結果から医療従事者の手指衛生を目的とするブラジル製のアルコールジェルは、その大半が抗菌効果を有することが確認された。
