Prevalence of non-tuberculous mycobacteria in a hospital environment

近年、非結核性抗酸菌（NTM）は、日和見院内感染の重大な原因に浮上しているが、韓国ではNTMの分離および同定については、ほとんど知られていない。本研究の目的は、病院環境におけるNTMの分布率を推計し、菌種を同定することである。病院の異なる区域から合計150サンプルを収集した。NTMの分離および同定を、rpoB※をコードする遺伝子の制限酵素断片長多型解析（RFLP）およびhsp65とrpoBの部分塩基配列解析により行った。本研究では、150サンプル中50サンプルから60株のNTM株を分離した。水道水サンプルの半数（50/100）が抗酸菌陽性であった。分離株の73.3％が腐生性であり、21.7％が病原性を有する可能性があり、5％は不明であった。病院の水道水におけるNTMの存在はまれではない。そのような水道水からの分離株は、培養偽陽性となるリスクがあるとともに、免疫低下患者に実際に院内感染をもたらす可能性がある。
