Tolerance and acceptability of 14 surgical and hygienic alcohol-based hand rubs

有効性が証明されている市販の手指消毒剤の忍容性および受容性を評価するため、実際の使用条件下で試験を実施した。また、公的機関での購入を目的とした情報を得るために、これらの製品とHospices Civils de Lyonで現在使用されている手術時手指消毒（Sterillium®）および衛生用手指消毒（Purell®）のための製品を比較した。試験した12の製品は、Alcogel H®、Assanis Pro®、Clinogel®、Dermalcool®、Manugel Plus®、Manugel Plus NPC®、Manurub Liquid®、Manurub Gel®、Purell 85®、Spitacid®、Spitagel®、およびSterillium Gel®である。これらの製品に対する試験を11月中旬から4月中旬まで4回にわたって3週間ずつ実施し、試験後は2週間の間隔を置いて、その間は通常使用している製品を再び使用した。病棟および手術室の参加は任意とした。皮膚乾燥および過敏性を各試験期間の前後に記録した。受容性および使いやすさを質問票により評価した。8つの手術用手指消毒剤のうち、Manurub Liquid、Manurub Gel、およびManugel Plus NPCだけが、Sterilliumと比較して有意な乾燥および過敏性を起こさなかった。10の衛生用手指消毒剤には試験期間によって差が認められた。全体として、Assanis Pro、Clinogel、Purell 85、およびSterillium Gelは、Purellと比較して有意な乾燥および過敏性を起こさなかった。しかし、寒冷であった最初の3回の試験期間では、Purellと比較してAssanis ProおよびSterillium Gelでより多くの炎症が生じ、Purell 85でより乾燥が生じた。受容性に関する質問票の回答は、利用者は通常使用している手指消毒剤（SterilliumおよびPurell）を好むことを示していた。多くの参加者を含むこれらの実地試験では、優れた製品を特定することができず、前回と同じ製品の注文が更新された。
