Risk factors for Staphylococcus aureus nasal carriage in residents of three nursing homes in Germany

3カ所のナーシングホーム（500名）での黄色ブドウ球菌の鼻腔内保菌率は36.6％であった。メチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（MRSA）は検出されなかった。黄色ブドウ球菌の鼻腔内保菌に対する有意な危険因子（リスクファクター）が以下のように特定された。血管性認知障害［オッズ比（OR）0.31］、糖尿病（OR 1.82）、高血圧（OR 0.30）、慢性閉塞性肺疾患（OR 1.86）、脳卒中（OR 3.31）、過去3カ月以内の抗生物質による治療（OR 2.10）、および要介護レベル2（定義は、日常生活動作の補助が1日あたり4時間まで必要とする高度の依存度）（OR 1.97）。他国に比べて、ドイツのナーシングホーム居住者のMRSAの鼻腔内保菌率は低い。
