Multicentre study on hand hygiene facilities and practice in the Mediterranean area: results from the NosoMed Network

南地中海地方における手指衛生に関する文献はまれである。基準値を明らかにするため、地中海の4カ国で試験を実施した。22病院の77病棟を登録し、手指衛生実践および設備に関する情報を収集した。全遵守率は極めて低値であり（27.6％）、リスク知覚が高度の場合には遵守率が有意に高かった。集中治療室では、遵守のレベルが最も高かった。国別の分析では、アルジェリア（18.6％）およびモロッコ（16.9％）と比較して、エジプト（52.8％）およびチュニジア（32.3％）で遵守率が高かった。手指衛生の設備、特に消耗品の不足が認められた。現状を改善するためには、手指衛生実践に関する各国の公式な勧告、教育、および定期的評価からなる多面的な取り組みが必要である。
