Decontamination of rooms, medical equipment and ambulances using an aerosol of hydrogen peroxide disinfectant

5％過酸化水素（H2O2）消毒薬の乾燥ガスを発生させるプログラム制御装置（Sterinis、Gloster Sante Europe社）による室内、救急車、および様々なタイプの医療器具のコンタミネーションの除去について試験を行った。部屋および車庫の容積に合わせて、既定の濃度を設定した。接触時間を徐々に増加させながら、3サイクル実施した。Bacillus atrophaeus（以前はBacillus subtilis）Raven 1162282の芽胞を用いて実験を反復し、コンタミネーションの除去効果をコントロールした。サンプリング計画に基づいて芽胞試験紙（spore strips）を室内と救急車内の様々な位置、医療器具の内部および外部に置いた。3サイクル実施した場合にコンタミネーションの除去が有効であったのは、閉鎖した被検室で146芽胞検査中87％、手術室で48芽胞検査中100％であった。1または2サイクルでは効果は認められなかった。医療器具の内部での殺芽胞効果はわずか62.3％（220検査）であった。コンタミネーションの除去中に装置を作動させ通気していた場合、室内に置いた芽胞試験紙の100％（57/57）でコンタミネーションの除去が確認された。救急車の中では、器具、装置、グローブボックス、アンダーマットレス、および運転席へのH2O2の浸透は3サイクルの場合100％（60/60）であったが、1または2サイクルの場合、効果は低かった。結論として、H2O2乾燥燻蒸消毒システムを室内、救急車、通気中の器具の外部および内部で3サイクル作動させると、良好な殺芽胞効果が得られるようである。H2O2の濃度、接触時間、およびサイクル数に関してさらなる研究が望まれる。このことは、コンタミネーションの除去の工程で通気できない医療機器の内部については、特に重要である。
