Antimicrobial effect of surgical masks coated with nanoparticles

本研究では、ナノ粒子（硝酸銀と二酸化チタンの混合物）、および病原体からの防御を図る目的でナノ粒子をコーティングしたフェースマスクの抗菌活性を評価した。大腸菌および黄色ブドウ球菌に対するナノ粒子の最小発育阻止濃度は、それぞれ1/128、1/512であった。ナノ粒子コーティングマスクの抗菌活性をAATCC 100-1999※の手技に従って定量化した。コーティングを施したマスクの材料では、48時間の培養で大腸菌および黄色ブドウ球菌の生菌数が100％減少した。フェースマスクを着用したボランティアで、皮膚刺激性は観察されなかった。ナノ粒子で防護衣表面をコーティングすると、病原体の伝播リスク減少に効果を発揮する。
