婦人科および産科超音波検査は日常診療で広く用いられているが、患者と医療従事者を回避可能な感染リスクにさらす可能性がある。この記述的レビューでは、主に 2010 年から 2026 年の間に公表された微生物学的研究、観察的監査、アウトブレイク調査、ガイドライン文書、教育的介入を利用して、産科および婦人科超音波検査における感染予防・制御に関する統合的な概観を提供する。入手できるエビデンスから、汚染リスクは多因子的であり、超音波プローブ、カップリングゲル、環境表面、検査技師に依存する行動が関わることが示されている。したがって、有効な感染予防には、適切なプローブ再処理、安全なゲル管理、体系的な環境衛生、トレーニング／監査／フィードバックによって支えられる持続的な行動的介入を組み合わせた、集学的アプローチが必要である。微生物学的エビデンス、汚染経路、繰り返し起きる作業漏れを統合することにより、本レビューは、より安全な日常診療を支援し、既存の推奨の遵守を強化し、感染予防実践の一貫性を向上させることを目的とする。

婦人科および産科超音波検査の汚染リスクを回避するために、現在我が国でも超音波プローブが trophon®（過酸化水素エアロゾルの噴霧により、超音波プローブを自動高水準消毒する装置）で高水準消毒（HLD）を都度行うことができる。
