Central line infections in a haematology—oncology patient associated with Bacillus species-containing cleaning spray

血液腫瘍科患者は、無形成のために、感染を起こしやすい。この論文では、再発性前駆 B 細胞急性リンパ芽球性白血病の青年で、CAR-T 細胞療法後に急性骨髄性白血病への系統転換を伴う二次性白血病を発症した。本症例では Bacillus 属菌による中心静脈カテーテル関連血流感染症を複数回発症し、長期間にわたる広域抗菌薬投与、中心静脈カテーテルの交換、ポートカテーテルの抜去を要した。市販の Bacillus 株含有「シンバイオティック・スプレー」が汚染源の可能性があると特定された。免疫不全患者がいる環境における家庭用プロバイオティク洗浄剤の使用について公衆衛生上の警告を発するべきであると提言する。
