医療におけるバイオフィルムと抗菌薬耐性:患者の安全性を守るための候補としての二酸化塩素の評価

汚染された表面からの多剤耐性菌(MDRO)の伝播によって引き起こされる医療関連感染は、医療機関にとって大きな課題である。表面におけるバイオフィルムの存在は、効果的な環境コンタミネーションの除去を困難にし、抗菌薬耐性(AMR)を獲得させ、悪化させる。本研究では、MDRO のパネルおよび緑膿菌(Pseudomonas aeruginosa)と黄色ブドウ球菌(Staphylococcus aureus)によって形成されたバイオフィルムに対する様々な二酸化塩素ベースの消毒剤の性能を評価した。検討したすべての二酸化塩素ベースの消毒剤は、MDRO に対する十分な活性が認められ、関連する試験基準を満たし、バイオフィルムモデル内の菌に対して同程度の log10 減少を示した。浮遊 MDRO に対して現実的な接触時間で適切な試験基準に従い試験したところ、十分な log10 減少が得られ、バイオフィルムに対しても同程度の減少が認められたことから、二酸化塩素は環境コンタミネーションの除去戦略の魅力的な候補であると考えられる。
