背景

手術器具の使用後の処理では、血液や、血液を含んだ汚れを、確実に、残すことなく除去することが、最も重要な任務の 1 つである。使用した機器の洗浄の理想的な時間枠について、消毒や滅菌を確実に行い、悪影響を避けるために、様々な作業部会が推奨を出している。これらは、概して、主に実際の経験に基づいていて、このテーマについての体系的な研究はほとんどない。

目的

本研究では、ヒツジの血液で汚染させた試験検体を使って洗浄実験を行った。この方法で、全血の乾燥時間がその後の洗浄の結果に与える影響を調べた。

方法

実践を反映して、残留蛋白質の定量には、視覚的な方法と分光法の両方を用いた。実験結果は、乾燥時間の関数と、血液の残留水分量の関数の両方で評価した。

結果

乾燥しつつある血液の除去は、最初の 1 から 2 時間以内が特に難しかった。血液は凝固しているが、まだ完全には乾燥していないこの段階では、それより待ち時間が長かった場合よりも、洗浄後に試験検体に残っていた蛋白質の残留物がかなり多かった。

結論

血液の残留物の除去には、最適な洗浄結果が期待できる時間枠が存在する。そのため、再処理に不利な待ち時間も存在する。実験データに基づくと、この最適な時間は、汚染の直後、または汚れてから 3 時間を過ぎてから 24 時間未満の範囲であることが推定された。
