A standardized method for evaluating test soils used to demonstrate cleaning efficacy

背景

洗浄および関連する妥当性検証の要件は、再利用可能デバイスの安全な使用のために極めて重要である。これまでは、洗浄の妥当性検証を目的とした試験方法および関連するエンドポイントは、世界的にばらつきがある。最近の国際標準では要件が更新されており、洗浄消毒薬の洗浄効果を実証するための洗浄のエンドポイント、ならびに試験用汚染物質の使用に関する要件が含められるようになっている。

方法

洗浄効果試験で用いられる試験用汚染物質の定量的比較を、Annexe B ISO 15883–5:2021 で公表されている標準化された新しい方法を用いて実施した。試験用汚染物質として、Artificial Test Soil（ATS 2015）、Blood Test Soil（BTS）、Coagulated Blood、Defibrinated Blood Soil（DBLSO）、Modified Coagulated Blood Soil、Two Component Blood Test Soil、および UK Test Soil（Edinburgh Soil）などを用いた。

結論

すべての試験用汚染物質は、基準に従って許容できる性能が示された。

ウォッシャー・ディスインフェクターに関する国際規格である ISO15883 は 2021 年に改訂された。ISO15883-5 はこのうち洗浄効果を実証するための試験方法基準を定めたものである。本研究は改訂された ISO15883-5 で公表されている各種汚染物質が洗浄効果の評価として使用に耐えうるものであることを証明したものである。
