オゾン発生装置の不適切な使用と販売状況：医療提供者のアンケート調査とオンライン販売調査★★

オゾン発生装置は、SARS-CoV-2 の伝播の結果として注目を集めている。医療機関を対象としたアンケート調査では、20 施設（91％）はオゾン発生装置を患者区域で使用し、5 施設（23％）は人々がいる室内空間で使用していた。アマゾンジャパンのウェブサイトでのオゾン発生装置の検索によって、製品の 76％はオゾン放出率、適用範囲および／または使用時間に関する情報が不足していることが明らかになった。これらの結果によって、オゾン発生装置は病院および診療所で不適切に使用されており、安全性と有効性を評価する十分な情報なしに一般の人々に販売されていた可能性がある。
監訳者コメント：
日本感染症教育研究会（IDATEN）からの報告。IDATEN 会員からのアンケート結果に基づいており、対象集団に偏りがあるが、それでも日本において、オゾン発生装置が安全性、有効性の点で不適切に使用され、十分な情報提供なしにオンラインで販売されていることを明らかにしている。
