遵守率の改善および医療関連感染症の低減における電子手指衛生モニタリングシステムの有効性★★

腎臓内科における介入研究により、著者らは電子手指衛生モニタリングシステムが医療従事者（N ＝ 99）の手指衛生遵守率および病院獲得血流感染症に及ぼす影響を検討した。医師および看護師の手指衛生遵守率は、介入期間中に電子手指衛生モニタリングシステムからの実行可能な指示に基づくグループおよび個人レベルのフィードバックを受けた場合、有意に改善した。手指衛生遵守率の改善は、病院獲得血流感染症の件数における有意な減少と関連した。
監訳者コメント：
グループへのフィードバック、個人へのフィードバックの実施に応じて、手指衛生の遵守率は向上しており、グループ、個人と丁寧なフィードバックにより遵守率が向上し、血流感染が減少している。電子手指衛生モニタリングシステムにより継続的に個人レベルでのテータ収集が可能であり、電子手指衛生モニタリングシステムは手指衛生の遵守率向上のツールとして有効であると考えられる。
