SARS-CoV-2 decontamination of skin with disinfectants active during and after application

背景

新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）のパンデミックは、医療従事者に重症急性呼吸器症候群コロナウイルス‐2（SARS-CoV-2）の高レベル曝露をもたらしている。手指汚染除去は、感染リスク低減のために推奨される行動の 1 つである。

目的

BIAKŌS 皮膚・創傷用抗菌洗浄剤（AWC）と AWC2 の 2 種類の消毒薬（Sanara MedTech社、Fort Worth、TX、米国）が、SARS-CoV-2 を不活化できるか否かを明らかにするために、このウイルスに接触前または接触後にコーティング適用する方法で試験を実施した。

方法

液体および乾燥形状の AWC と AWC2 が、プラスチック表面とブタ表皮上の SARS-CoV-2 を不活化する能力を試験した。

結果

AWC と AWC2 は、液体形状での塗布時と乾燥形状での塗布 4 時間後に、SARS-CoV-2 感染力価の低下に有効であった。皮膚上のウイルスは、AWC 適用後に最大 2 log₁₀ 倍、AWC2 適用後に最大 3.5 log₁₀ 倍減少した

結論

AWC および AWC2 の皮膚への塗布は、SARS-CoV-2 濃度と感染リスクを低減させる。

特定の手指衛生製品（手指洗浄剤と手指消毒薬の 2 製品）の SARS-CoV-2 消毒効果を評価した論文である。本来 SARS-CoV-2 は脂質の膜を持つウイルスであり、多くの界面活性剤やエタノール系消毒薬が有効である。
