Spatial and sociodemographic factors associated with surgical site infection rates in hospitals in inner São Paulo State, Brazil

低～中所得国では、手術部位感染症（SSI）の高い発生率がみられることが多い。SSI 発生率と関連する空間的および社会人口学的予測因子を評価するため、本研究ではブラジルのサンパウロ州内部に位置する病院 385 施設に関する政府サーベイランスデータを分析し、地域との相関を検討した。多変量モデルにおいて、SSI 発生率には州都からの距離と正の相関が認められ（100 kmごとの発生率比（IRR）1.19、95％信頼区間［CI］1.07 ～ 1.32）、非営利施設（IRR 0.95、95％CI 0.37 ～ 0.85）および私立施設（IRR 0.47、95％CI 0.31 ～ 0.71）のほうが、公立病院よりも低かった。地域との相関を検討した結果から、州都から遠距離に位置する病院を SSI 予防策の標的とする必要があることが強調された。
