Knowledge, attitude, practice and perceived barriers among healthcare workers regarding COVID-19: a cross-sectional survey from Pakistan

パキスタンの医療従事者の新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）に関する知識、姿勢、実践を評価するため、実証済み（クロンバックのα［Cronbach’s alpha］＝ 0.077）の自己記入式質問票を使用した。COVID-19 に関して医療従事者は知識が豊富であり（93.2％、N ＝ 386）、前向きな姿勢を持ち（平均値 8.43［標準偏差 1.78］）、実践に優れる（88.7％、N ＝ 367）という結果が示された。医療従事者は、感染対策に使用する器材が限られていること（50.7％、N ＝ 210）、伝播に関する知識が乏しいこと（40.6％、N ＝ 168）が感染制御の主な障壁だと認識していた。薬剤師は他の医療従事者よりも実践に優れる傾向が強いことが回帰分析により示された（オッズ比［OR］2.247、95％信頼区間［CI］1.11 ～ 4.55、P ＝ 0.025）。本研究によってパキスタンの医療従事者は知識が豊富であることが分かったが、知識と実践の特定の部分に隔たりがあり、注意が必要である。

2019 年 12 月 31 日に中国武漢において原因不明の肺炎の集団発生が WHO に報告され、その原因ウイルスが分離同定され、SARS-CoV-2 と命名された。2020 年 3 月 11 日には、世界的なパンデミックと宣言された。2020 年 8 月末で2,500 万例が感染し、84 万例の死者が WHO から報告されている。2 月 26 日に第 1 例の発生後、8 月末で 29 万例の感染者と 6,300例の死者がパキスタン政府より報告されている。この感染症に対する知識の欠如と誤解は、現場での医療従事者の発見を遅らせ、結果的に多くの二次感染者が院内で発生することとなる。本調査では、知識と姿勢および実践が、各々で互いに正相関しており、これらの 3 つの要素が COVID-19 の診療において必要であることを示している。
