Twelve year analysis of aerobic-only blood cultures for routine detection of bacteraemia

検体採取の実践は、血流感染症の診断における血液培養結果の正確度を左右する。本研究において中心となった急性期病院で、好気性サンプルの量と数を増やすために、ルーチンの好気性単独の血液培養を導入した。より小規模の別の急性期病院では、好気性と嫌気性のペア培養をルーチンで送付した。培養結果と検体採取の実践を 2 病院間で比較したところ、嫌気性培養では回収された病原体が多く、これには通性嫌気性菌が含まれた。培養量および送付されたサンプル数は、国内の推奨に達していなかった。好気性培養の単独使用という方針により、培養された血液量は増加しなかった。これらの結果に基づき、中心となった急性期病院においてルーチンの培養として好気性と嫌気性のペア培養を再導入している。
