Chlorhexidine sensitivity in staphylococci isolated from patients with central line-associated bloodstream infection

2011 年以来、韓国では 2％クロルヘキシジン含有 70％イソプロピルアルコール（2％クロルヘキシジンチンキ）が広く使用されてきた。中心ライン関連血流感染症を引き起こすブドウ球菌（staphylococci）のクロルヘキシジン感受性の変化を検討するため、2008 年から 2016 年の間に大学病院 5 施設の集中治療室で治療を受けた、成人患者由来の血液培養分離株 264 株を分析した。2％クロルヘキシジンチンキの導入前後で、クロルヘキシジンの最小発育阻止濃度および最小殺菌濃度、または耐性関連遺伝子の保有率の有意な変化は認められなかった。以上のように、中心ライン関連血流感染症を引き起こすブドウ球菌におけるクロルヘキシジン耐性増加のエビデンスは認められなかった。

監訳者コメント：
消毒薬の多用による微生物の消毒低感受性は、以前より懸念されている。これまでのところ、臨床上の問題に至った報告はないと思われるが、継続したモニタリングは必要であろう。
