Development and evaluation of a website for surveillance of healthcare-associated urinary tract infections in Australia

尿路感染症の減少に向けたサーベイランスプロジェクトの第 2 相において、オーストラリアの病院および高齢者ケア施設での、医療関連尿路感染症およびカテーテル関連尿路感染症の一時点での割合を調査することを目的としたウェブサイトを試験的に運用した。本報告では、オンラインデータ収集用ウェブサイトの開発および評価について述べる。データ収集者 38 名からの評価結果によると、大半の回答者がウェブサイトの登録（22 名、58％）およびウェブフォーム（16 名、43％）が使用しやすいと評価した。コンピュータ・リテラシーのスキルおよび自動データシステムの改善の必要性が浮き彫りとなった。本研究によって、オーストラリアの医療関連尿路感染症に関するデータ収集の新しいアプローチが示されたが、全国展開には改良を要する。

医療関連感染症について、データの質を担保しつつ、かつ容易に収集できるオンラインシステムは、長らく求められ、改良されてきたものの、まだその理想にはほど遠いのが実情である。調査用紙を用いた第 1 相での評価を踏まえ、オンライン版に改良した第 2 相でのユーザー評価をまとめたのが本報告であるが、ソフトウエアの構造上の問題と、データ入力に関しての操作上の複雑さが密接に相関していた。自動化による入力者の負担軽減も合わせて、総合的な観点から人的・物的リソースを十分に投入した開発が今後も必要と思われる。
