Estimating the incidence and 30-day all-cause mortality rate of Escherichia coli bacteraemia in England by 2020/21

大腸菌（Escherichia coli）菌血症の発生率は、イングランドで上昇しつつある。2012/13 年から 2016/17 年の大腸菌菌血症を対象とした全国義務的サーベイランスのデータを用いて、我々は、感染率を低減する新しい介入法がない中で、2020/21 年までの大腸菌菌血症の発生率と 30 日全死因症例致死率を推定することを目的とした。年齢、性別、ならびに院内発症型か市中発症型かについて補正した後、2020/21 年までに大腸菌菌血症の発生率は人口（N ＝ 50,663）100,000 人あたり 90.5（95％予測区間［PI］89.8 ～ 91.3）、関連する症例致死率は人口（N ＝ 6,554）100,000 人あたり 11.5（95％PI 11.2 ～ 11.8）になると推定される。

監訳者コメント：
英国における大腸菌菌血症はかなり問題視されているようである。実態把握に努めているが、増加の原因とその対策についての知見が今後の課題である。
