Knowledge, attitude, and practice (KAP) of ‘teaching laboratory’ technicians towards laboratory safety and waste management: a pilot interventional study

エジプトのマンスーラ大学医学部で働く検査技師 20 名を対象に疑似実験的研究を実施した。検査室ベストプラクティス手順に関する教育プログラムに参加させ、その介入前と2 か月後に検査技師の知識、姿勢、実践に関するスコアを測定した。教育プログラムの内容は検査室の安全および医療廃棄物管理である。実証済みのアラビア語の自記式質問票を用いて評価を行うとともに、介入前後のスコアをノンパラメトリック検定を用いて比較した。研修プログラム実施後には、知識、姿勢、実践のいずれにおいてもスコアの有意な上昇が認められた。

本研究は教育病院の検査室に勤務する臨床検査技師を対象とし、検査室の安全と医療廃棄物管理に関する 3 日間の教育プログラム（1 日 1 ～ 1.5 時間の講義とディスカッション）を行い、質問票を用いてその効果を評価したものである。教育病院として医療安全上のリスク低減を目指した取り組みでもあり、途上国での現在の医療安全に関する認識の高まりを知る上でも興味深い。
