小児および成人入院患者では、インフルエンザ様疾患を引き起こすウイルスとインフルエンザとの時間的関係は十分に報告されていない。2015 年から 2016 年の当施設のインフルエンザシーズン中に、小児および成人入院患者 768 例を対象として、インフルエンザ様疾患ウイルス（ヒトメタニューモウイルス、RS ウイルス、ヒトパラインフルエンザウイルス 3 および 4、ライノウイルス／エンテロウイルス、コロナウイルス）およびインフルエンザ A の動的相互関係の特性を評価した。

入院患者におけるインフルエンザ様疾患ウイルスとインフルエンザウイルスの発生時期を調べた論文である。小児と成人ではその時期は必ずしも同様ではないことがグラフで示されており、興味深かった。
