Molecular characterization and clonal diversity of meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus isolated from the community in Spain: emergence of clone sequence type 72

配列型 72（ST72）メチシリン耐性黄色ブドウ球菌（meticillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus；MRSA）が最近我々の病院で検出された。このクローンは欧州で検出されることはまれだが、韓国では市中感染型 MRSA 感染の主要な原因で、病院内にも拡散し、生肉から回収される主な MRSA クローンとしても出現している。スペインにおいて外来患者から分離される MRSA を 9 年間調査した。分離株の 70 ％以上が病院で検出される優勢クローンに属していた。ST72 保菌率は有意に上昇していた。MRSA クローンのうちでいずれが優勢であるかが不明瞭になっているようで、継続的調査が求められる。

監訳者コメント：
元来韓国で流行していると報告されていた市中感染型 MRSA クローンの ST72 のスペインにおける流行についての報告である。ST72 は毒性が高いとされる USA300 と同様にSCCmec type IV を保有するが、PVL は陰性である点で USA300 とは異なる。ST72 は 2014 年に日本で報告されているが、バンコマイシンに低感受性であることが特徴であった。交通網の発達により、耐性菌は今後もより容易に国境を越えて伝播していくことが想定される。
