Quantifying Glosair^TM 400 efficacy for surface disinfection of American Type Culture Collection strains and micro-organisms recently isolated from intensive care unit patients

病院の環境表面の微生物汚染は入院患者の感染源となることがある。著者らは、ガラス製担体に付着させた American Type Culture Collection（ATCC）株 2 株と臨床分離株 18 株に対する Glosair^TM 400 の有効性を評価した。残存微生物の検出に先立ち、担体を 60 分間空気乾燥させ、その後、一連の処理に供した。抗菌薬感性グラム陰性桿菌は、抗菌薬耐性グラム陰性桿菌、抗菌薬耐性グラム陽性桿菌、および酵母様真菌と比較して本法に対する感受性が低かった（それぞれ 3 log₁₀、3.4 log₁₀、および 4.6 log₁₀ 低下、有意差はなし）。結論として、エアロゾル化過酸化水素により、非清浄表面の患者由来微生物が平均 3 log₁₀ 以上減少した。
